Goodness, it’s been awhile since I posted. However, my husband’s birthday was earlier this week and I decided to make a card and a tag. I made this back in September and this time of year always reminds me of sunflowers.
I heat embossed the large sunflower I purchased long ago from Stampendous with versamark and espresso embossing powder. I actually miss using stamps I’ve not used in a very long time. I then masked off the sunflower and spritzed with Glimmer Mists by Tattered Angels. Remember Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist? Well I still have a bunch so I’ve not tried the newer mists. I used Yellow Daisy, Meadow Green, Tiger Lilly, Wheatfields, and Coffee Shop. I then used my Tombow Brush Pens, Jelly Beans Collections markers and a waterbrush. I also used yellow stickles. All cardstock is from Stampin’ Up! Garden Green, and Very Vanilla. I made this card 6 X 6. I’m actually getting tired of all of the small A2 sized cards. I want something bigger. I lined my envelope with some beautiful scrapbook paper that I still had here from a Creative Memories stash. They do have nice scrapbooking paper, and so does Stampin’ UP! The tag, I did the same but lightened up a bit and I did heat emboss and mask off the sunflower, however since this was not on watercolor paper, (I used a tag I have from Unity Stamp Co.), I did use prismacolor pencils on the sunflower. I am absolutely certain I would not heat emboss an image again while using pencils. Not that it made a difference but it was a little bumpy going over the heat embossing with the nice soft pencil. I used pretty chocolate sequins from an assortment pack I purchased from My Favorite Things some months ago. I glued those down with Glossy Accents. That is a wonderful glue. I purchased a big piece of burlap. I’m always and forever running out of twine, why run out? I just pull a strip or several strips from the burlap, it works great. Oops, almost forgot the butterfly is from Unity Stamp Co. Beautiful Birthday Wishes.
I hope you enjoy looking, and thank you!
Thanks Love. It’s beautiful!
